Why you should consider selling your property this fall season.
Fall is almost here! Is it still a good time to sell your home? The real estate market is undoubtedly at its peak during the spring and summer, but sometimes going against the crowd can work in your favor. Here are a few of the advantages to selling your home in the fall:
1. Buyers in the fall tend to be more serious. Many buyers who purchase a home in the fall have been searching throughout spring and summer. Some of them need to buy because of a new job, while others want to get into a new home before the holiday season.
“Homes that didn’t sell during the spring and summer are often delisted.”
2. There is less competition. Homes that didn’t sell during the spring and summer are often delisted because they start to draw less interest from buyers, which is why you’ll have less competition if you list now.
3. It’s easier to move up. If you want to buy and sell at the same time, the fall season may be the best time to do it. Many sellers who couldn’t sell during the summer and spring are eager to get their homes sold, meaning they’ll be more open to negotiations.
